Today, the Tamarack Pool in Eugene Oregon is holding its first veterans swim, a fundraiser to help keep it's doors open. The Veterans Swim will be held today (Sunday) from 2 to 4:30 p.m. It’s open to veterans and their families for free. The pool is located in South Eugene at 3575 S. Donald Street.
Notably, the Tamarak pool is the only full size, hot water pool in the area. This is important because it has made the pool a "go-to resource for people recovering from various mobility problems."
Another important feature is that the water is also kept clean through the use of salt, instead of chlorine. Many people who use the pool "cannot handle the harsh chemical smell or feel of chlorine."

At SwimSpray, we understand the importance of minimizing the chemical (chlorine or bromine) side-effects of swimming. If you are a veteran who's ability to swim is limited by chlorine, please just send us a note. We will do everything we can to help you beat chlorine. It's the least we can do for those who serve the United States.
