Yesterday on Twitter, zaynsclassy posted "my hair is so parched because of the pool, and even washing the smell of chlorine keeps, HELP ME."
zaynsclassy seems to be describing a very common problem experienced by people who swim in chlorinated pools: malignant chlorine. Malignant chlorine is the chlorine that bonds to biological fibers, where it remains stuck even after conventional washing with soap, shampoo, water, etc. Malignant chlorine oxidizes the surface of a persons hair and skin and continues to damage the hair and skin long after the swimmer leaves the pool.
Fortunately, we have an easy fix for zaynsclassy's parched hair and smelly chlorine hair. Washing with a concentrated, buffered solution of vitamin C after swimming will completely wash away all of the lingering malignant chlorine. zaynsclassy should notice the benefit the very first time because the chlorine smell will go away.
