I noticed that Beginner Triathlete has an active thread called "I smell like the pool." This was the opening posting:
"I smell like a pool, as usual today. I get the occasional observation from a co-worker along the lines of "You went swimming this morning, didn't you? I can smell it!" I work with a great and supportive bunch, so it isn't a problem. I just really don't want to smell like the pool.
I shave my head, so I don't need any shampoo. Right now I'm using Dove Men+care bar soap. And I give my head and face an extra wash with whatever the stuff that's attached to the wall in the showers at the gym. It's foamy, I don't know what it is...
Tonight, I'm going to run and I'm going to emit a Chlorine odor the entire time.. So, what's the trick? Is there one? How can I get the pool smell off me?!?"
As expected many people reported that they liked the smell of chlorine ("Oooo...I love that smell!"). And users also reported that they used a variety of shampoos, body washes, and other "tricks."
Of all the reviews, one made me particularly happy for two reasons. First, the person gave our product a good review. Second (and more important) they praised our customer service. Here's the post:
"I use the Swimspray stuff that is mentioned above. It's the only thing that works for me and it does a very good job of minimizing the chlorine smell. My wife will even hug me now without telling me I stink like the pool.
Definitely try that stuff. Plus they stand by their product."
These are pretty much the two things that we try to accomplish at SwimSpray. We are the single best chlorine removal product on the market. Plus, we try to provide exceptional customer service. It means a lot to us when people notice how hard we are trying.
